Bake Sale Entrepreneurs

The youngest Cook and Dastrup kids decided to have a bake sale/lemonade stand this afternoon. The dog from across the street even came and joined them for a couple of hours. (She left when water balloons started to fly in her general direction, compliments of Bryson and Makayla, who became bored after a while.) They sold cookies, rice crispy treats, ice cold lemonade, brownies, popcorn, and cookies to the passersby in front of our house. Everything cost 25 cents. They began at 4:00, ended around 7:00, and made $41. (It helps profit margins when the neighbors pay for a cup of lemonade with a five dollar bill and then say "Keep the change!" or when people stop to donate a dollar to each of them but don't dare take anything they are selling or offer them a $3.25 tip.)

They are planning to open up their business again tomorrow.
We will see how they do......

Well, it is about time these kids started paying their way through ilfe!! (Hee hee). It is nice to see them doing something productive instead of complaining how bored they are. The last money count I heard this morning was 60 dollars. They are pretty excited about earning money.

Today we earned $73.66 it was really fun!! There was this guy that only wanted a lemonade and a cookie (it would of only been 50 cents) and he gave us a 10 dolar bill!! It was soo cool
